I recently moved on to "Sawmill.Net" but turned issues on how to
maximize log formats with sambar.
I have tis line in my config:
"Log Format = performance
Custom Log Format = %a %A %b %B %c %D %f %h %H %I %l %m %M %N %p %P %1 %2 %3 %q %r %s %t %T %u %U %v %V %Y"
but really no clue as am I really maximizing log output from sambar.
the custom log help file were some what wage in what should be
settings to catch all possible data in the log format.
maybe someone can cite exsample or elaborate on this subject a bit.
for no money down i still prefer awstats but am i really getting max log
data throuput. |

I have no experience with Sawmill.
The Sambar "performance " log format is Sambar specific, I do not know that you can customize Sawmill for the extra Sambar Fields.
You can try:
Log Format = combined
When you have one log file for all vhosts:
Log Format = custom
Custom Log Format = %v %h %l %u %t "%r" %s %b "%{Referer}i" "%{User-agent}i"
But then a drawback is that you cannot use the sambar log-rotation with the "custom" log format.
For docu, see http://localhost/syshelp/logfmt.htm

hi all,
testing awstats "Advanced Web Statistics 6.6 (build 1.885)"
testing the "smtp server log" but can not get my custom log setting right.
when i update the get this error msg "No qualified records found in log (47 corrupted, 0 dropped)"
does anyone have custom log settings that work for smtp logging?
ie:"%time2 %code %host etc..
btw: http works just fine.
thanks inadvance |

hi all,
does anyone use awstats for their mail stats...
what are your format settings
these will produce awstats output page but no qualified records
found in awstats conf file
"LogFormat = "%time2 %code %bytesd %host %method %email %email_r %host %host_r %url"
sambar = performance logging
latest ver awstats |
