I'm using uceprotect and others to build my ldnsbl.dbx file. it is now to large to open using the built in editor. I can open it with excel and there are now over 365000 ip numbers there but the spam keeps on coming and the list keeps growing.
If i use the web mail to check mail and move spam to the spam folder will it add these messages to the dnsbl.dbx list?
I just turned on the greeting delay. I can see some messages getting failed in the log. do these get added to the dnsbl list? or just get aborted?
what are the chances of good messages being rejected due to the greeting delay?
I am a small home user and have not moved on from Sambar. I just like it to much to abandon.
Thanks for any help

Hi Steve,
the dnsbl file is just a list of IP addresses and if a message is moved to the spamfolder the IP is not added.
IP are only added, either by yourself, or (if enabled) by Sambar after a lookup of the DNSBL. What uceprotect is, I have no idea.
The DNSBLs are enter via the admin GUI
Mail > Anti Spam > Spamtets > DNS blacklist servers.
Greylisting gets just aborted. You also can set "spam greeting delay" which holds the connection for a few seconds before accepting Data. There is no rejection of messages at all. It just delays accepting.
There is a limit to the amount of lines which are shown in the GUI, but when open to edit it, it gives the full account of lines. At least in my case. My file size is now 1.18MB. Which will be smaller as yours as I have not that many IPs, I guess. Not sure if there is a limit to edit with the GUI.
By the way, I too like Sambar to much to abandon.
